This online course provides the necessary knowledge and skills for conducting an internal audit of an educational organizations management system (EOMS), based on the ISO 21001:2018 and ISO 19011:2018 standards.

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of the specific components of an EOMS according to ISO 21001:2018, including: principles for educational organizations, focus on learners and other relevant interested parties, leadership, management of risks and opportunities, competence requirements for personnel, educational resources, design and delivery of educational services, evaluation of learning outcomes, feedback and monitoring of learner satisfaction, management review, and continual improvement. The course also thoroughly covers the tasks and roles of internal auditors in the process of planning and conducting audits, preparing reports, and planning and monitoring actions based on audit results. Special attention is paid to auditing the EOMS’s compliance with learner needs and ensuring the effectiveness of the educational process.

Course objective

The goal of the course “Internal Auditor of Educational Organizations Management System (ISO 21001, ISO 19011)” is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for conducting internal audits of educational organizations’ management systems. The course covers audit principles and methods, including planning, conducting, reporting, and monitoring actions based on audit results, with a special emphasis on the specifics of the educational sector.

Participants will learn to:

  • Understand the purpose and requirements of ISO 21001:2018 from an internal audit perspective, as well as its application in educational institutions. 

  • Utilize a risk- and opportunities-based approach and a process approach during internal audits, taking into account the specifics of the educational process.

  • Apply the requirements of ISO 19011:2018 to ensure the competence, consistency, and impartiality of internal auditors within the context of educational organizations.

  • Conduct effective internal audits that add value to the educational organization, contributing to the continuous improvement of educational service quality and learner satisfaction
